As member of the Atlanta Board of Education, I will seek to advance excellence in partnership with parents, schools and the larger community. If elected to the Board, I will work to ensure that we apply quality to all our endeavors.
The Atlanta Board of Education will provide:

Quality professional development and support for our teachers and school leaders

Quality implementation of educational support services and enrichment programs

Quality management of the school system’s financial resources

Quality partnerships with the business community and the charter schools in the Atlanta system
In this way, we will help the education community provide quality for all children.
Initiative & Priorities
An effective school system needs a strong “Stakeholders’ Triangle” that bring together schools, parents, and the broader community. Together, we help students achieve their greatest potential. As your school board member, I will engage these stakeholders and utilize a student-centered approach in my work. My guiding principle is that ALL students will succeed, regardless of race, economic status, ethnicity, gender, language or disability.
My contributions, perspectives, and initiatives will enhanced the board’s work on our school priorities and policies. My focus areas include:
